Six Flags Magic Mountain invited us out this past weekend to check out their Fright Fest Opening Night. We were really impressed with their mazes & scare zones this year. The mazes quality in the last three years is definitely on par with Knott’s Scary Farm.

There are 6 mazes and 6 scare zones at this year’s Fright Fest.

There are no new mazes in 2019.

We got to the park at 5:30 PM. The park look very busy since the parking stretch all the way toward the team member dirt parking lots. Lucky, we were able to find parking up close.

To do the 6 Haunted mazes you will need to purchase a Maze pass wristband.

We checked into Full Throttle Sports Bar to picked up our media credentials.

Yummy! Takis with pulled pork and nacho. We got to sample some of the delicious Halloween snacks.

Delicious. We believe this might be an Orange milkshake.

During Fright Fest at 7PM “Unleashed” guests can witness monsters escape near DC Universe Entrance.

The 2nd Annual 30-Hour Coffin Challenge. 6 contestants have been inside the coffin since 3PM Friday afternoon. 2 hours left to go. Winner will get $666, 2020 Gold Season Pass & Express Haunted Maze Pass.

New this year is that they have to compete in challenge where they play a game. The contestant with the most points will win.

The winner of the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge. The challenge ended at 9PM. He won $666, 2020 Gold Season Pass & Express Haunted Maze Pass and also come back for the Grand Opening of West Coast Racers.

Our 2 favorite mazes this year are Condemned Forever Damned & Revamped Vault 666 Unlocked.

 This new Maze is still Incredible. So much detail. It’s so good!

The only problem is that some of these mazes does not have music/soundtrack like at Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Nights. Its too quiet, that you can hear screaming in another room.

Voodoo nights. Such an Amazing performance.

Terrortory Twisted. The Scrampunk District has been transformed into the biggest scare zone ever!

Can’t wait for this ride to open at the end of the year.

Aftermath 2: Chaos Rising is Six Flags Magic Mountain’s largest outdoor maze.

Willoughby’s Mansion is still amazingly good.

Sewer of Souls was still a fantastic! A fun and colorful maze. They gave us 3D glasses, but we ended up not wearing them.

Nightmares – A Twisted Fantasy Scare zone is outstanding! lots of awesome interaction with the monsters.
