We were invited to the Opening Night of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood last Thursday. Extremely Happy we finally got to experience this spooky event again after having no Halloween events last year.
There are 8 mazes this year: Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, Universal Monsters The Bride of Frankenstein, Halloween: The Return of Michael Myers, The Curse of Pandora’s Box, The Walking Dead and Terror Tram : The Ultimate Purge.
We arrived at 6:45pm and picked up our press credentials near AMC Theater
Made it to the gate.
These are the 3 mazes that are open for early entry at around 6:15pm.
Our 1st maze of the night is Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Located near Water World.
The Facade for Halloween
Our 1st maze in two years!!!
We really enjoyed Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers maze.
Current wait times as of 7:23pm
Our 2nd maze is The Bride of Frankenstein
Love the music in this maze.
You guys can now finally get your butterbeer during Halloween Horror Night Hollywood. Wizarding World of Harry Potter is now open during the event.
Butterbeer!
Special Games just for Horror Nights
Long lines for Texas Chainsaw
Next up, The Exorcist!
Love this facade
Specialty food for Horror Nights
Time for Terror Tram
Terror Tram was a lot of fun! You can take a photo with Norman Bates.
The only way to get to the two mazes: The Haunting & Pandora’s Box in the backlot is through The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Located to the right of Hogwarts Castle
Very colorful maze
Our favorite maze of the night is the New Netflix’s Haunting of Hill House
If you have the chance skip this maze unless you already finish the all the other mazes.
New this year is the Dia de los Muertos in the Universal Plaza. No longer a queue area. Perfect place to relax and grab some food and drinks.
Awesome photo op
We enjoyed Jabbawockeez at Universal Studios Hollywood, but wish there was a Halloween/comedy show like Bill & Ted’s. The show is only 20 minute.
Tickets starts as low as $69. If you are planning on going multiple times this season we highly recommend getting the Frequent Fear Pass for $200.
Thanks for having us, Universal. We had a spooky fun time!
