This past Saturday, Hundreds of Universal Studios Hollywood employee volunteers came together in partnership with the  M.E.N.D. (Meet Each Need with Dignity) to bring a day of FUN to families in need.

“Christmas in Spring” is a charity event sponsored by Universal Studios Hollywood and “Discover A Star” Foundation. The Foundation provides grants to deserving organizations whose initiatives help individuals and families to achieve more productive and fulfilling lives.

During the event, invited families got to enjoy delicious meal and lots of fun activities such as carnival games, face painting, and live DJ.

They also got to meet some of their favorite Universal’s characters: SpongeBob, Scooby Doo, Shaggy, King Julian, Puss N’ Boots, Minions and Santa Claus!

During its 27th year run, “Christmas in Spring” has touched the lives of over 16,000 family members living in poverty in the San Fernando Valley, providing them with holiday cheer during a time of year when their needs are often overlooked.
